management of the clinic has more than thirty years of experience, delivering
high quality surgical, medical and nursing care to many thousands
of patients. It has a proven record of best practice standards
among health professionals in the community and an increasing
involvement with Primary Care Trust Contracts.
The clinic has a strong, highly experienced nursing team. This
includes registered general nurses, registered midwives and nursing
auxilliaries, together with other patient advisors and care assistants.
In many areas there is an agreement whereby treatment may be paid
for by a patient's Health Authority or GP.

operate six days a week, providing prompt treatment with no waiting

Anaesthetic
Patients
have a choice of either a general or local anaesthetic depending on gestation and medical suitability.
The latter procedure is often preferable since it allows an earlier discharge.

and Assessment
In order to comply with the
Abortion Act, you will normally see one doctor who will assess your medical suitability
and discuss your reasons for wanting a termination. If satisfied he will sign the HSA Abortion Act form.
Your notes will be reviewed by another doctor who will normally provide the second signature without seeing you.
We attach great importance to consultation and assessment for our patients and
support is freely available after the termination should it be
required.

Post
Operative Care
Advice
on discharge, supported by information leaflets, ensures that
