At South Manchester Private Clinic we understand the difficult decision of abortion, particularly if you are travelling from Ireland and other overseas areas. Our dedicated services are tailored to meet the needs of Irish and overseas clients by enabling you to travel to our clinic and, depending upon the treatment, return home the same day.
Our aim is to make this process simple and ensure that your stay with us is comfortable and as stress free as possible.
We will arrange for you to be picked up from the airport and return you to the airport for your flight home. We are also able to provide you with details of airlines and local accommodation if required.
We have designed 4 simple steps for you to follow in order to make your appointment and visit our clinic.
Step 1
Once you have made the decision to have an abortion you will need to make arrangements to attend our clinic.

You will be able to speak to an advisor from 8am-10pm 7 days a week by telephone or online. Alternatively, you can use our call back request service or email any questions to info@smpclinic.co.uk and an advisor will contact you.
Step 2
When we book your appointment, you will be asked a series of questions by an advisor to ensure you are suitable for treatment. These questions will include the first day of your last period, your height, weight and details of your medical history.
We will also explain the different procedures that are available to you. Once you have decided on your chosen treatment, we will book your appointment to attend the clinic.
Step 3
If you intend to travel by air, you will be asked to book your flight to Manchester International Airport. You will be advised on what time you need to book your flights in accordance with your appointment at the clinic.
Step 4
The clinic will make arrangements for a taxi to collect you from the airport and return you once you have been discharged following the procedure.
On arrival at Manchester Airport on the day of your appointment, we request that you telephone the clinic to inform us that you have arrived and the terminal for collection. We will then ask you to wait at the information desk for a few moments for your driver to locate you and take you to your taxi.
